Calling Wool Farmers!

Are you a wool farmer? If so, we want to hear from you!

We're partnering with Anam Árann – a project dedicated to restoring traditional Aran sweaters and promoting Irish wool heritage in the North Eastern United States – in a collaboration called Wear The Land Collective. Wear The Land Collective is a platform to make Irish wool more visible, accessible, and valued by people all over the world.

The first step of this collaboration is an Irish Wool Directory, a growing resource aiming to connect farmers directly with artisans, crafters, and consumers. The directory makes it easy to discover where wool comes from, who produces it, and how it can be used in creative and practical ways. By linking farmers with those who wish to support and work with them, we are strengthening the chain that keeps Irish wool relevant and accessible.

For this first stage, we are looking for wool farmers to voluntarily add their farms to this directory by filling in a short form. The directory will be accessible via the Wear The Land Collective website, and you can also choose to be featured on Fibreshed Ireland's interactive map on our website – two birds with one stone!

If you're an Irish wool farmer interested in being featured on this growing resource, fill out our brief form here!
